In a recent post, I shared with you the clear block stamping technique. I stated that during our May gathering of stamp club, we used that technique to create one of our cards for the month. I though I would share that card with you here. We used the same technique, but the difference is in the application of the ink. In the first card, I just dipped the edges of the block in the ink to create a frame. In this card, we colored the block using using our wonderful markers. Once the block is colored with the variety of ink, it is spritzed with water to soften and blend the colors. And, of course, I had to give a nod to the everlasting Lovely As A Tree stamp set. This set has been in the catalog for as long as I remember, and I have been stamping for nearly 18 years. I know that at some point it will retire, but for now, I am glad that it is still around.
