You know that feeling of anticipating a vacation or break from the daily grind? I sure do. I have been looking forward to this year's spring break since I would have a chance to be in my craft room, get some spring cleaning done, and spend time with family. Well, you also remember that feeling when things don't go quite like you thought it would? I do. Time spent with family happened and was great. Cousins had a chance to play with each other for even an extended period of time, but that is where things went south. Sunday morning, husband goes down with a stomach bug, hard. Now, he usually doesn't get sick, even when others in the house do, so this was cause for worry. There was still a chance the rest of us would be ok. Nope. Tuesday, daughter goes down. Unfortunately most of which happened during the car ride taking family back home and back. So needless to say, the plans for crafting and cleaning changed. I have had a chance to get some cleaning done today and am glad I did. As for crafting, I still have hopes for that before next Monday morning, as long as I don't go down with the bug. Knock on wood, it has not hit me yet.
So with those fun thoughts out there, I thought I would at least get this new site up and going by sharing with you one of the cards that my stamp club gals made last month. This card highlights a couple of the new products that are in the second release of Sale-A-Bration products, available now through the end of the month.
The basic rundown of the card is as follows:
Stamp Set: Reverse Words (SAB)
Card Stock: Island Indigo, Whisper White
Ink: Island Indigo, Bermuda Bay
Accessories: Glimmer Paper Assortment Pack Bermuda Bay (SAB), Simply Scored Scoring Tool, Elegant Butterfly Punch, Stampin' Dimensionals, Sponge Daubers
The Whisper White card stock is scored with the Simply Scored tool 1/4 inch on all sides. The stamp set is inked with sponge daubers, I started with the lighter color and blended the darker into it, huffed, then stamped on card stock.
Cute, quick, and simple. Definitely, a card idea that is a keeper.
